Who never heard of Bob Marley? Probably, not many people. Who really knows Marley’s story? Probably, not many people also. This documentary aims to be complete and without complacency. I believe it attains its goals as much as it is possible with such subject matter. All of Marley’s life and death are displayed. Born in abject poverty, ostracised for being born to a white father passing through and a black mother; this man elevated himself over the masses and became a symbol for brotherhood and liberty. Marlye is not shown as sympathetic but so very charming, as it is often the case among the greats. Marley created a whole new genre of music, Reggae. This is quite a feat. Marley is a film to see and appreciate at many levels.
