I love that movie I also love the book it's the real McCoy about life in Montreal & the problem encounter by women who are single parent.

I will write in English so our fellow Canadians get a grasp: I saw the movie for the first time in Vancouver tonight and was quite impressed by the quality and the scenario. I was living in Montreal at the time she was making the news, but did not really paid attention. So in a way, this was a revelation to me. Bravo! Michel.

These Quebec movies that can actually replicate history so delicately and with such accuracy makes the movie that more enticing and enjoyable. Using the everyday franaglais expressions creates the atmosphere expected from the era. Excellent story base accented by a crude but yet expected ending. It was filled with both ends of the "feely" parts, both happiness and sorrow. Good movie. The big screen didn't add much. It'll be a good rental..

Great scenes from Montreal's historical neighborhoods. Shows the hardships of French Canadians at the time. Céline, the main actress playing Monica, was excellent in her role. She personafied Monica very well. Finally, Québec film producers are trully beginning to make quality movies.

I very much enjoyed this true story. The actors were great, production was most professional.
