Big fan of Joan Jett and was a little leary about K-stew trying to fill some big boots, but somehow she did it. I've never seen soo much emotion and depth come from her. Good movie and maybe she should take some of the skills she showed in this and put into the Twilight Saga and no one would complain about her lack of acting skills. Decent job K-Stew keep itup!!

I have read all the previous ratings and don't quite understand why someone would trash this movie. I just got back from watching it and thaught it was awesome. But you do have to like that era of music, and it being a movie based from the "70's you should expect the drug and sex to be quite explicit. But all in all was an amazing move. If you're a Joan Jett fan this gives you an eye opener!!

My biggest issue with this movie is that you really aren't told about the three OTHER girls in The Runaways. The movie is primarily about Currie and Jett, which is fine, but The Runaways were more than just the two of them. That said however, this movie was very worth the admission price. Dakota Fanning really IS all grown up in this one, and she really was great. I'm not a Kristin Stewart fan... like AT ALL... but I thought she did a wicked Joan Jett. Michael Shannon's Kim Fowley really stole the show though; you despised and were entertained by him. You really just wanted to see more of him. Screen time for Stella Maeve (Sandy West) was far shorter than she deserved as well.

I was disappointed from the get go. Music is so so, acting is horrible and it's too Long. This could have been a great film bcuz the story of female rockers needs to be told.

This is an incredible story but the cast doesn't do it justice. Joan JETT should be portrayed as a superstar who cracked the music world with female rock bands.

I didn't know much about the movie coming in the theater and I left knowing less about them. The should have call it Cherrie & Joan Jett the movie because they barely mention anything about the remaining cast member which not a good way to start a autobiography. I'm reading things like this was such empowering movie for woman when personally I felt they were degrading them. It would been nice if a little background was introduce about the band, where they came from or what made them who they are? But for some reason that information was only provide for Cherrie as if the other cast mate (specifically Joan Jett) didn't matter. Personally I wouldn't recommend that movie didn't bring anything new nor was it entertaining...

I LOVED it! I didn't know what to expect but this raw in-your-face rock and roll as it happened! Based On Cherie Currie's autobiography and produced by Joan Jett... it's the real deal!

Amazingly great. I remember my older cousins as contemporaries of these women when I was an elementary school student. If you're 38 to 45, you have to see this movie -- the memories it will twig will blow your mind.

This was by far the worst movie I have ever seen. American Apparel called; they want their clothes back. The singing was awful and the acting stunk, neither actress appeared genuine and I imagine that when a song is wrote it is never that easy. Don't waste your time.

I was taken in for a good surprise, the acting's great & Kristen Stewart did a fantastic job portraying Joan Jett! I thought her role/acting in the twilight series were uptight & she should have been the dead one! I was pleasantly surprised... a must see & if you're old enough to remember the 70's - it'll take you back to a time when there were such thing as real talents! Great sound track!

For those interested in rock and roll music and the songs of the 70's mainly Joan Jett and her life story--great cast and great acting especially Dakota Fanning--talented!

The concept was awesome, the music really got you pumped, and the visuals were amazing, but ultimately the dialogue and character development fell flat and held the movie back. Kristen Stewart is the same brooding, always-seems-confused character from Twilight and Dakota Fanning plays this mousy, lost lead. Too bad they didn't flesh out the supporting characters (the rest of the band and the producer Kim Fowley) because whatever few lines they had stole the entire movie. If you've got nothing better to do, a decent flick. Could've been so much better though.
