Was expecting more out of it after all the hype. Was so-so.

I had my doubts about this movie, but the cast made me decide to go for it. Boy was I wrong. This film is filled with obvious jokes and a lot of slap stick comedy with people getting in to ridiculous situations which seem not only implausible, but not at all funny. I find it strange that they could take a great French film, use only the name, change most of the premise and make it this bad.

Horrendous Movie. Does not do the french film justice. Stupid jokes and stupid situations which aren't funny.

Worst movie of 2010... and 2010 was a pretty bad year. Surprised that the all-star cast would be involved in such a meaningless, mindless production... hardly a comedy... just painful to watch.

OMG! The only movie I ever went to and felt more ripped off after watching was superstar. What a horrible waste of my time and money. With a bad plot and good actors throwing out some of the worst lines, this movie was a disaster. Trained monkeys could have witten a better comedy. I mean, Kung-Pow enter the fist was a better movie and I shutter at that fact.

Just saw it 2 hrs ago and actually asleep. I was sooo disappointed in this movie. Great actors but terrible jokes and story line. Don't waste your time.

This was a good movie, very odd and out there but it has a good story behind it and Paul Rudd was especially fantastic in this movie. Not my favourite movie ever but it's worth the movie to go see what it's all about.

A very unique idea but gets a lil too weard and annoying towards the end. I would've liked to catch it on DVD instead of in a theatre but, all in all, a different experience.

Silly fun... not everyone's cup of tea.. just a lot of mindless laughs... maybe forgetable a week later but an enjoyable hour & a half spent at the movies.

I loved it. Didn't know what to expect and was impressed with it. They could have gave the alan guy from the hangover a better part though. Some simple parts were a little weak but I laughed until it hurt at multiple moments. Would really recommend it.

Haven't seen this american remake, but the original French movie "Le diner des cons" is fantastic! It was based on a theatre play of the same name by Francis Veber. The movie came out in 1998. Rarely are remakes better than the originals (especially american). but if they adapt the comedy to american culture there's no reason it wouldn't work. I'm not much of fan of Steve Carell though.

I went into this with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised that the movie was better than I expected. The laughs are still few and far between but the acting was good. I am not a Steve Carell fan by any means but he was actually pretty decent in this film.

This wasn't as bad as some would state, although some moments were painfully hard to watch. Others, were very amusing, and I did laugh out loud. So, I'd say if you pay for a matinee like I and my spouse did, it is worth the ticket price.

Very funny! From time to time people in the audience were laughing uncontrollably. Steve Carell was at his comedic best. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed this movie.

This movie was utterly terrible, not a single laugh, I should have walked out. I can't understand how anyone could rate this movie above a 2, it's just that bad. It truly makes me sad that audiences accept this kind of garbage. Isn't there anyone in Hollywood with a brain?

I didn't laugh the whole way through like expected. I know a few people who agree with me, this didn't live up to the hype. Sure, go see it, but beware, it's not as funny as it may seem. One of Steve Carell's worse acts.

Save your time and money. If you've seen the trailer, then you've seen all the good parts. I can't believe a film with so many of todays hot actors in the funny business in it was such a bomb.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. My expectations weren't high to begin with, the movie was 100% better than I expected. There were many genuinely funny scenes. Steve Carrall does a fantastic job playing the goofball character and Paul Rudd deserves a nod for his believable character.

A hilariously smart and akward comedy with a great ensemble. I really enjoyed it... and not simply because I am Carell's Number 1 fan!!

I really enjoyed this movie. Steve Carrell does a fantastic job. He made his character odd beyond reason but some how still real enough so that you could empathize with him. It wasn't one of those movies where you cannot enjoy it because you are too embarrased and uncomfortable. And believe it or not there is a good message in there as well.

One of the best movies I've ever seen. If you enjoy Zach Galifianakis' or Steve Carell's humor, you'll find this movie hilarious.

Slow at times, and not Paul Rudd's best by any means, but Dinner for Schmucks is Steve Carrell's movie by a long shot. When watching this, you may find that the glue holding this movie together is Carrell, who is back to his old Anchorman days that we all love. He brings in about 90% of the laughs, while the rest are scattered and forgotten. Zach Galifianakis is not as funny as you may think, but if you're still loving the Hangover, then anything he does will make you chuckle. Overall, the story is a bit dry, but worth seeing because of Steve Carrell alone.

Almost as funny as the original French version, but something was missing. I don't really know what though. I went on a Tuesday, and the cinema was about 40% full, mostly 15 years olds on date. I smiled most of the time (it wasn't funny enough to laugh out loud), but laughed out loud throward the end. Maybe if the audience was older and laughed more, I would myself have found it funnier. Who knows?
