Not funny. Not mysterious. No suspense. No action to speak of. So what was this movie supposed to be? I was disappointed, but then again the preview was not promising anything else either.

I've always admired Tracy Morgan be it as a cast member on Saturday Night Live (1996-2003-especially in his character of 'Brian Fellows' and his several sharp impressions of celebrities such as Aretha Franklin, Samuel L. Jackson, and Mike Tyson-to name a few), or in his co-starring role on the NBC hit comedy series '30 Rock' where he portrays the character of Tracy Jordan! However, this Bronx-N. Y. born actor and musician does not live up to all the expectations in his role af Paul Hodges, which he plays opposit the infamous Bruce Willice (Die hard movies, Ocean twelve, hostage etc...) The movie is directed by the multiple award winning Kevin Smith (Jersey girl, Clerks l&ll, etc... This sorry excuse for an action-comedy movie is loaded with lame, meaningless and often tasteless jokes that are the fruit of a most boring and forgiveable script! My friend and I who attended the premier of the movie last night actually left 15 minutes before the end of the movie!. Surely we had a few laughs here and there just like the majority of the audience but as far as my friend and I are concerned, this is definitely a most forgettable movie. We also both felt that Bruce Willis, although this is got to be one of his worse performances ever, might have saved a couple of otherwise totally failed scenes.

Very foul... Not worth the money. If it was on TV the entire show would be a big long bleep.

A real stinker! Take a pass on this one... apparently Robin Williams was supposed to "star" in this movie, but he passed on it. Smart man. No chemistry between the main characters, way too much immature toilet humor and nothing was funny!!!

I thought this was a good movie, but I am a Bruce fan. I would watch it again, but I wouldn't run out to buy it. But I would've if I didn't go to the movie.

Too many f bombs and swear words. Could have been good if they had expanded the script beyond curse words. Disgusting. Was hoping it would get better, but should have walked out!

I thought this movie was hilarious. For people under the age of around 25 or so, you'll love this move. Tracy Morgan, Bruce Willis, and Sean William Scott are great. They make an interesting combination. --- Most of the bad ratings are coming from people 50+. This movie is clearly not directed at older-aged people. I'm 16, but I'm not going out to see The Notebook or something. Make sure you understand the premiss of the movie before you go out and see it.

This movie was so funny. I didn't think that Bruce could switch gears and do comedy. He's such a great actor who does action so well. He can deliver the lines, too. This movie ranks very high on my must see list. Well, anything with Bruce in it ranks high. Great movie, lots of gruesome action, mixed with comedy. Hard to know where to draw the line. I think I died laughing. Seriously, you have to go see this movie. If nothing else, then for Bruce. I did.

Sadly, I saw this movie twice. Not by choice. It has weak comedic parts, poor plot line, and a very inconsistant timeline (ie: the funeral time frame is an hour, beginning at 2:30pm - then suddenly it's dark outside? ) Another buddy buddy cop movie with no point.

Wow. I don’t know why all the bad reviews. While not a masterpiece, this movie definitely rates good and funny comedy. Maybe bad reviews because it gets away from the monotonous slapstick and toilet joke comedy aimed at teens we are all use to? But hey, it’s Kevin Smith, and if you don’t know yet, you shouldn’t be expecting the tried and tested stuff from Kevin. Sure, it uses the same old warn out Hollywood writing techniques otherwise. And Tracy Morgan was over the top a bit too much. But the three-way chemistry between him, Bruce Willis and Seann William Scott was incredible. I’m not sure if I have seen more than his Stiffler character, but this is by far Seann’s best stuff to date. The movie takes off with his first scenes.

KS didn't let me down. Fun movie, crazy villain with a bit of drag for maybe 10 minutes. Seann William Scott should have had a larger role, but that's my biggest complaint.

WOW, bad, bad, bad, i mean don't get me wrong I knew it wasen't going to be a great movie, if you ask me Willis is kind of out, BUT... I kind of hope that it would be somehow entertaining, but if it was not for "stiffler" the movie would have been even worst, I fought not to leave the theatre and at the end i gave up and left... so not worth it, long not funny, just wait in dvd for a raining day...

I liked all Bruce Willis' movies until this one, OMG such a waste of money. I didn't even stay through out the movie, I left before my brain would melt because of how ridiculously stupid and uninteresting that movie was. Usually I read the review and I try to go anyway, just in case but... for this one if you still wanna see it please wait until it's in dvd and only rent it and still that would be a waste of time and of money.

I like Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan and Kevin Smith but this doesn't work. I was beginning to wonder if Mr. Smith was trying to present an homage of his own by including key lines and scenes from every buddy/cops movie and show ever made (it's all there... the Dukes of Hazard, Lethal Weapon, etc) What we are left with is a mess that is neither a comedy nor a serious movie. Kevin Smith and the writers owe me twenty bucks and two hours of my life back.

Very disappointing. We are big Bruce Willis fans but this one is a stinker. What his film lacks in plot and script is compensated with vulgar language and coarse gestures. Will think twice before seeing his next film. He is out of touch with his fans I can't believe he would do this to us.

As much as I loved this movie I have to give it an 8 because there were a few pointless scenes and these 2 cops getting kicked off the force but still doing stuff is just really old but if it wasn't for those I would have to give it a 9 or 10.

Cop out was very enjoyable, Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan have great chemistry and there where points where I thought I would never stop laughing. I'm 25 and I believe that this movie is not geared to the 40 plus crowd. The movie could have been a little better but I think it clearly ranked an 8 out of 10.
