Surprised really that this movie does not get a higher rating? Thought it was great. Deniro did a great job. Good story and great cast. Had both my friends crying and I was a bit misty myself.

There are some flaws in the dialogue and it could have been much better given the all star cast, but I still enjoyed it. It made me want to call my Dad because we haven't spoken for a few months.

Deniro is wonderful in this flic. It's not a great film but still lighthearted and entertaining for adults and teens.

Brutal. Not believable. Waste of time... I walked out toward the end. I've never done that before.

This was a really good movie. A little depressing, but Robert De Niro does a great job. This movie reminds me so much of the movie Mr. Schmidt that Jack Nicholson starred in. How will family relate with you after you grow old? Will they want to associate with you anymore? Getting up in years, I hope it doesn't turn out like this for me :(

Anyone who gives this more than a "1" might not mind they threw their money away on it. Were you asleep for 99% of the movie? Would give it more than a "1"? A sure sign that a movie is on it's way to dvd and a total waste of money to make or view at a theater? When it starts at the Big Screen places but then gets sent to the smaller ones so soon after-think it was just a few days there. We were going to check it out and thought it was showing at Silver city but ignored our suspicions when we found it had moved to the smaller places, maybe just too many movies what with the holiday season and all. This movie wouldn't qualify for a Christmas movie even though we see 2 minutes pertaining to Christmas at the very end, it wouldn't qualify as a drama or comedy either. Not much drama but just little bits that go a few feet of film, then falters. Acting was lousy and no surprise with who they cast in those parts-bit parts I'd say would be more like it. Give it a 1 to be fair, don't waste a nickel on this boring skit, wait until dvd if you are even remotely curious. Saw this on Wednesday evening, truly bored to near death! If you were generous with more than 1, you probably didn't see it to begin with.

When I saw the trailer for this movie I, for some reason, thought it was a holiday movie. Perhaps it being released in December helped with that assumption. I also found it to be a little slow and more depressing than I had anticipated. However, I found Robert De Niro played his part well.

I agree with those who say that the ad campaign for this movie was misleading. It is definitely NOT a light holiday comedy/drama. Far from it, actually. The only holiday moment is the film's final 5 minutes. Neverhteless, it had a great cast, with a very touching storyline.

A very emotional movie. There are not much actions, mostly father-relationship lessons. Dad, you have been hard on me but I thank you! (^v^)

I would actually give it a 7.5, not 8 but I'm rounding up. It's very predictable. There isn't anything you haven't seen before. What makes watching Everybody's Fine worth it are the performances. Robert De Niro is back at the top of his game here, with a subtle, realistic, caring performance. You really feel for his character and he conveys his emotion so well even through just some simple looks he gives. Sam Rockwell and Drew Barrymore are also quite good. Kate Beckinsale was fine. It's a tearjerker, mostly due to De Niro being so relatable and likable. The whole theatre was crying- male, female, old, young.

Info classifies it as a "comedy/drama", but there's no real comedy in the movie. Acting is very good, but story is definitely a tear-jerker, but original and interesting.

Misleading ad campaign had a group of us expecting a light hearted holiday film. It was anything but and quite brutal and depressing. No laughs. Only tears.

I thought it was touching, but I think it's because I felt like seeing my late grandfather on screen... It also reminded me of "About Schmidt" with Nicholson, in an edulcorate version.

I didn't pay, was a freebie on Thursday the 3rd. Truthfully, this 95 min. movie wasn't very good at all. Everybody's NOT FINE more like it. Too predictable, De Niro was the star, all others had bit parts and this movie ran along wayyy too slow. Kind of a grim family movie and weird that they'd show this at Christmas so it is likely just "Christmas filler." Most of the actors have done nothing lately so it was obvious they were also just filling in until their other ones kick-in too. Barrymore isn't very good in her bit part, Rockwell has never been good in very much else, Beckinsale hasn't been heard of for awhile, old-what's-his-name son-who-got-busted-and-died isn't much of an actor either. De Niro got to babysit the whole bunch of them and you could tell that he caught on early enough to what their game was. Pretty far-fetched anyway, what kind of father goes off on such a trip without attempting in a better way, to get a hold of the kids? Wasn't a tear jerker either, it was boring and here's a good one if you like De Niro's face. You actually get to see numerous closeups of it, that's what big screens are for-big head shots and so close you get to see the stubble growing as he travels and of course that big mole on his cheek. Glum, bleak, sad De Niro and one wonders how the family of dysfunctional children even survived when Mom was alive. Sorry folks, wasting your money on this one and I do guarantee it's goin' down, it's below 50% right now at many review sites, it'll fall very fast and then thrown into the old discount theater so if you wish to see Robert's big head on the larger screens, do it now and waste $10 per person to sit for 95 mins. P. S. I do like many of his past movies but wonder why he settled for this one to begin with. I thought there would have been way more humorous moments instead of all that boring waste of minutes for too many different sketches. Don't believe it? Just the Tractor Trailer scene with woman driving proves how they were just wasting time, the bum who crushes De Niro's pill bottle was another useless part. You mean YOU couldn't see it when De Niro scrapes off 10-12 chunks of broken pills and downs 'em when anyone would know a pill or 2 would be the norm for a prescription-prob. JUST 1 at that so he was getting us ready for the big one... The Sequel would be made and it would be remotely more entertaining with 96 minutes of a blank screen.

Saw this movie during the pre-screening but I would definitely pay to see it. I liked the premise of how children tell parents what they want to hear instead of the truth, I know I do that in real life as well. The acting was good, the story did drag at times but overall I enjoyed it as did the audience in the packed theatre.

I was really impressed and cried from the beginning to the end. Acting of Robert De Niro is awesome... it reminded me my old parents and I imagined their feeling of getting old. You will be hartwarmed in this movie. I think it's about real familiy's love.

This is one of the most unwatchable movies ever made. The scenes were horribly acted and the script was awkward. The contrived characters, poor production and meaningless dialogue made this one of the most painful 2 hours of my life.

A road movie with Robert de Niro who gives his best --even though the script is so-so--A predictable movie that is enjoyable for a few hours of light entertainment.
