I wanted to like this movie - John Cusack is usually excellent - but what a disappointment. Not only were the lead characters fundamentally unlikeable they were completely unfunny. Had to turn this one off after a 1/2 hour as I felt I was wasting my life when I wanted to be watching something funny. They could have done something hilarious with the plot line - what a bomb. If I want to laugh I'll watch Superbad instead.

This was a great movie! Super hilarious! Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Clark Duke are amazing actors! The woman going topless was not necessary but other than that, hilarious comedy!

If you are expecting a sophisticated, well thought out comedy, you're looking in the wrong place. This is just stupid comedy for the most part, but with a great cast and a lot of unexpected laughs, Hot Tub Time Machine is well worth a watch. Throughout the film, there are consistent laughs (although some are just gross moments), but if you don't mind that type of comedy, then you should definitely check this one out.

Even if you are desperately looking for some laughs, don't waste your time with this one. The premise is not as crazy as it would seem, and John Cusac does his best, but the movie while OK in the beginning, steadily goes downhill right through to the end.

Some parts were very funny, but I guess you must be 40 years old to fully understand all the references...

The 80s. Cusack. And a ridiculously brilliant title. Check it out. Ace!

I was looking forward to this movie, even ready to pay full price. This movie was disappointing, but could have been so much more. It fell short on all the comedy that they could have drawn from when refering to the 80's. Even though I went to the cheep theatre to see this movie, I am sad that I wasted 3 bucks.

I laughed from start to finish! The premise is ridiculous and they pull it off by actually making fun of it. A Hot Tub Time Machine. Characters are all well developed and everything fits together nicely. It gets you laughing and it doesn't have to resort to overly gross comedy. Not that there is anything wrong with gross comedy but it's even more impressive when a movie doesn't have to resort to it to make it good. It's a classic John Cusack movie from his days of Say Anything and Better Off Dead. This is one that's going into my movie library.

It gets an extra point for the title alone. Unfortunately the rest of the movie was just okay, nothing spectacular. It could have been so much funnier. Certainly not worth full price but okay at the second run theatre or maybe a rental.

Had a great time, this year's Hangover, if you grew up in the 80's, it is funny to you. If you did not you may not get all the references. It is funny how scenes were exactly the same as some of the huge 80's hits, like sixteen candles.

My friend and I decided we needed a mindless comedy to "chill" to and it did not disappoint in the mindless-ness department; the movie was beyond awful. There were maybe 2 or 3 scenes that we chuckled to, but I felt nothing for either character. Rent or download it.

This movie was tough to sit and watch for the whole time - it got slow in several parts and painful in others. I can't believe I paid to see it!

I believe "retarded" would be the proper review. However, for political correctness lets just say this was a very poorly written, nonsensical piece of trash. Turn on any tv station at any time and find better entertainment. Oh, I was the only one in the movie... a first.

I'm wondering if the actors in this movie believed in their characters. The 80's was a funny time... this movie does not capture the era at all. It has all the makings for a 13 year old teenage boy... swearing, bad taste sexual scenes, fist fights, I could go on but I won't it's just that bad... we went for a laugh and left disappointed. John Cusack must have done this movie for the money... I'm sure he's not proud of it. Two thumbs down.

A great movie; it gave me that same warm fuzzy feelings those slapsticks from the 80’s and 90’s gave me. Welcome back John Cusack. Probably don’t go see this if your sensibilities are easily offended, and be prepared to take it for what it is. But I’m guessing you’re already in the proper frame of mind if you’re even considering going to see a movie called the “Hot Tub Time Machine. ”

It was a dirty funny comedy with plenty of laughs. Maybe more for me as I was in high school during the 80s and got a kick out of the time warp.

I liked the movie alot, the trailers for the movie leave out very good parts in the movie and don't spoil it.

Hot Tub Time Machine was pretty much exactly what I was expecting. The title pretty much says it all. I thought it was funny, and crazy and silly. Good for a laugh. I could have waited for it to come to video though.
