A movie that will make you see things clearer. An emotional roller-coaster ride for sure.

The story is worthwhile for sure. I mean it's a testament to effort, perseverance and love for your children. On that front, this movie is commendable in the same league as Lorenzo's Oil. However, that comparison ends with the nature of the story. Harrison Ford was convincing as the scientist, Keri Russell was endearing as well. Brendan Fraser wasn't the ultimately best choice. His acting was not up to par with that of Nick Nolte's. Altogether you could do worse but this movie had the makings of Oscar nods and all that were missed.

My 14 yr old daughter, my 60+ mother and I all saw and enjoyed this movie! A cross generational movie is hard to find where all enjoy it.

This is very entertaining and for some it may be a little syrupy-sweet but it gets the message out about a serious disease that many people have no clue about. And people, drug companies are businesses not philanthropic organizations. They look for where the $$$ is--that is their raison-d'être. This is a fact of life.

I'm not a huge Harrison Ford fan, but his acting was the highlight of the movie for me. That said, Brenden Fraser and Keri Russell dropped the acting ball, and the husband-wife, parent-child relationships didn't seem genuine. That made it hard for me to get into the movie. It's cool that it's based on a true story, and the kids were pretty cute, but the story of sick kids with desperate parents has already been done.

This movie had potential that was squandered. Harrison Ford was 'calling it in', and the script was lame. How many times can the characters say 'I'm a scientist', or 'We're scientists'? Right, because that's a higher calling of sorts? When did Brendan Fraser get fat?

If you like Brendan Frazer you will love this movie. If you feel, however, that even playing a neanderthal was a stretch and that he had more emotive power still frozen in a block of ice, then you might want to take a pass. Note to Harrison Ford: it's over buddy!

The Extraordinary Measures is a must see film. It is a really inspiration and moving film. The setting and the whole storyline of the film is amazingly done. Also it helps educate people and what people will do to help find a cure for not only their children who are suffering with the disease but also to make a cure for all those diagonized with the diseae. I found the storyline of the move to stand out and really promoted parents who are in a difficult position and how parents in difficult situations even when times get worse they never give up and that they will coninue to try to until the end when there is nothing else left. It shows the fact that the family is not the type that are willing to give up.

An absolutely wonderful, tender and loving film. Great performances from the cast and I think it is Oscar material folks. This offers up a peek into the life of a family with children suffering from serious illness. Well done!

This was absolutely very tender-hearted and informational about Pompe disease. I cried in several places and if one doesn't cry, then you are made of stone. I am a huge fan of Harrison Ford from way back (He is solid in his roles) and he didn't disappoint me here at all. Brendan Fraser likewise does a great job as a parent struggling with a child who has a life threatening illness. One never knows how much and how far one would go to in order to get something... for your kid. It opens up a good discussion about this.

Wow! What a terrific film. I never even heard of Pompe disease. Harrison Ford gives a great performance as the the "mad scientist" as is very believable in this role. I know quite a few eccentric old farts in the bio-chem dept at McGill (tee hee) Very entertaining without the Hollywood artificial trumped up atypical good guy/gal like Sandra Bullock's role in Blind Side (which was way over the top.
